Frieda Maria {style pretty}

I love these whimsical photos of stylist duo Margo Maria Weijer and Frieda Mellema also known as Frieda Maria! I also love their list of things that they do and do not love:

Friedamaria loves: home-made, contraditions, dreams, granny stuff, eccentric, white – and powder tones with a spark of fluorine, sewing, painting, Dr. Marten shoes, steel wire, Alison Goldfrapp, wine, fairy tales, disorganised, nostalgia, Bjork, Sweden, dresses with short puffing sleeves, Lee Miller, melancholic, the forest, clients in the queue, bad bargains, sea air, comic heroes, minor flaws, fake fur,
Talking Heads, Rotterdam, fifties, e-mails…

Friedamaria does not love: perfection, fashionable, arrogance, beer, Bugatti EB 110, blah blah blah, dress codes, obvious prints like Jackson Pollock , George Bush, trendy, botox, the book was better
(than the film), rules, stiletto heals, fake, Lara Croft, overdose of whatever…” ~friedamaria.com

I love the spoons, I heart the photo transfers onto the delicate cloth(which is super easy to do by the way), and although I am not very fond of gelatin, I would love to prepare the colors below, just so I can admire their pretty colors!

Alvhem Interiors {lovely swedish abodes}

Alvhem Interiors
Triple SWOON! Oh my, This post makes me want to pack up and head to Sweden just so I can live in one of these fabulous apartments that are decorated and being sold by Alvhem Brokerage & Interiors located in Gothenburg. What a beautiful city, and these treasured abodes are perfect in so many ways. I love the flooding of light, and the open floorplans, and the quaint kitchens.

I think what I really love about these spaces is the attention to detail. There are so many wonderful accents from the lighting, to the floral arrangements, the wall murals(love the black silhouette of the world map), and the furniture. It’s all gorgeous and very inspiring. I must say that this is one post that makes me actually want to paint my walls back all white to re-create a fresh, simple, clean ambiance! I have included lots of pics here…Enjoy & if you are ever in Sweden, be sure to check out their interior boutique!

HIMLA Textiles {pastel inspiration}

Himla Textiles

Oh my gosh…the HIMLA Textile catalog is absolutely beautiful! Their palette of sweet pastels and rich magentas and baby blues and purples are so intriguing & I would love to have a candy coated purple car such as this one in which yes I would drive around town with bolts and rolls of linen fabric sticking out the top and possibly the trunk too! I think that these colors would be so much fun to decorate a little girls room in. I remember my parents painting my walls a very light purple very much like this when I was a little girl and I loved it! Nevertheless HIMLA, based out of Sweden, specializes in decor and fabrics made of mostly linens and cottons. A list of their retailers can be found on their website under Agents.

Let’s Go Visit {Benita Larsson}

Benita Larsson

Let’s go visit a lovely little home in Stockholm, Sweden where you will feel a pure essence of cleanliness, simplicity, beauty, and creativity. It’s sweet and cozy and is filled with as much charm as a well adorned charm bracelet.

So, many of you have probably seen photos already of Benita Larssons home, but I could not resist featuring her comforting and well organized home here on JuBella. I am beyond speechless and inspired at how organized she keeps her space and I love all of the white she uses amidst her rooms. It truly does make you wish you were really stepping through her thresh hole for a cup of tea and biscotti and a day filled with admiration of well thought out nooks and crannies as you take note of all of her clever organizing tips!

Let’s Go Visit: Benita Larsson

Occupation: Visual merchandiser for a chain of 150 shops in Sweden.

Home Location: Stockholm, Sweden.

Style of Home: Clean, white, organized, and comfortable!

Favorite Room: The living room. The house is really small but the living room has a pretty open plan. It’s where we spend most of our time. It’s light, sunny, and really comfortable.

Design/decor challenges when it came to decorating: I love rearranging furniture. As a little girl I’d move my furniture around my room all the time and previously in our city apartments I used to do that too but in this house there’s just nowhere to move anything to. The sofa fits one space, the dining table another and the bed in the bedroom can only be placed where it is. I love our little house, but sometimes I wish the rooms where a little bit bigger.

Benita Larsson

Favorite shops/boutiques for decorating her home: We have gotten a lot of things for the house in thrift shops, dumpsters and some where left in our house by the previous owners. We also build a lot ourselves. Most of the storage is self built. When I do shop it’s usually storage related, like boxes or containers and fabrics to make cushions out of. I like the Swedish department store Åhléns where they have some great inexpensive things for the home. They also carry Muji, which I love. For fabrics I either get them online or again at Åhléns or at Svenskt Tenn. I’ve been “accused” by some to having an IKEA home but there are actually not very many IKEA pieces in our home. The sofa is, the beds are and there are a few book cases. That’s more or less it. Probably less than in many homes. Oh, I do get storage boxes there and my laundry hampers are IKEA too come to think of it… When I go to the States I love shopping at Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware

Benita Larsson

5 words that describes how she would want you to feel when visiting her home: At ease, comfortable, relaxed, inspired and well fed!

Thanks so much Benita for inviting us over, it was quite delightful! See more of benitas home by visiting her flickr sets.

Inspiration Sweden {skona hem}

I am in awe of these rooms from Swedish design magazine skona hem. The colors are simply fantastic. I like lots of color and eclectic patterns, and it is so inspiring to see them both used so beautifully! I love it!
