The Makerie 2012 {gotta get there}
Oh me! Oh my! Does everyone know about The Makerie Retreat except me? I love the whole concept of creative workshops and to see something as lovely as The Makerie Retreat is pure inspiration. Their upcoming retreat will be hosted in 2012 on April 19th through the 22nd in beautiful Boulder, Colorado; and participants will stay in cozy cottages nestled in Chautauqua National Park. Aaah!
The retreat next year will hold workshops exploring: Intuitive Painting, Crochetology, Food Styling & Food Photography, Letterpress, Painting with Stitches, Shooting Your Craft, Sewing Oliver + S Sleepover Pajamas, Your Life In Pictures, Pretty Pressed Packaging, Sewing Creative Characters, and Sewing a Lisette A-Line Dress! Wow! This sounds like a crafters heaven. I will be sure to pass it along to my crafty friends. I on the other hand, am now, in my 30’s have begun to open up to crafting. I didn’t like it as a kid, well, I might have if my mom was a crafter but she was not, lol. One of the things you listed, I’m good at and that is, “Your Life In Pictures”. I love telling stories through pictures. My kids love to craft so I need to be able to give them more of that.

I am thinking of attending a craft retreat next year and this one happens to fall on my birthday weekend! Looks amazing.
