In the last 10 doing boutique hotels. It always puzzles me why people who are venturing into transforming ruins into welcoming, habitable places, are so shy and conservative when it comes to decorating. You really have to push gently for that little touch of umph! White and beige are great canvases but a touch of surprising green or violet or orange add such zest to a place! Earth tones are fine but wouldn't you feel happier stepping into that stylish fuchsia room? It would definitively make me jump up and down with excitement!
