Magazine Inspiration {martha stewart & inside out}
I love magazines, I think they are like monthly treats of eye candy and inspiration. They really can make you feel special and offer up some wonderful dreams and ideas. So I recently scooped up the Christmas Issues of both Martha Stewart Living and Inside-Out(which I totally love). I recommend both issues to all of those who do not subscribe to or who have not picked a copy yet. They are filled with so many wonderful images and recipes and cute little gift ideas. I mean we all know that Marthas team will offer up some tantalizing ideas right? Anyhow, here are a few of my favorite images from them both! Unfortunately I will not be using any of these ideas this year, as the holidays just sort of sneaked upon me, but I made sure to grab them to hopefully pre-plan my festivities for next year! Hope these inspire!

the white Christmas tree looks really pretty against the dark wall and furniture. and i love the branch hanging over the dining table. very nice pix!

@mama’s got moxie: yeah, I so want a white Christmas tree next year..I use to think they were tacky, but now I LOVE them! & yeah it looks exceptional up against the dark colors!

I absolutely adored this issue too. The cakes with the doillies was pure genius. I totally need to try that out.

I love the doilies! And I have to say that my favourite post is the one you have below of your own space and how you decorated it on a budget – you have great taste and your appartment is so inspiring!

Hi Ericka – I love your site/blog. I have just dicovered it and I am thrilled with all your great posts and inspirations.
The martha stewart cake(the blue one with the impression of the doilie in it) was one of my favourite things in a Martha magazine for ages – great to see it here!

Who doesn’t love a crisp new magazine, especially at this time of the year? My boyfriend bought a stack for me the last time he was abroad – and got some funny loooks from the lady at the newspapaer stand… I love getting editions from other countries, for instance Elle Decoration!

So pretty, I absolutely love the cake with the lace pattern on it! Definitely something I’m gonna try making myself. Have to see if the magazines are available in Sweden yet
